St. John's Lutheran Church Cemetery

Location:

St. John's Lutheran Church and Cemetery are located on the outskirts of Lexington South Carolina. It is West of Columbia and approx 17 miles from the intersection of I 26 and I 20. See the map below.

Connection:

Many Kyzers, Kaisers and Harmons are buried here. In particular, I was hoping to find the graves of my 2nd great grandparents, George Walter Kyzer (1838-1924) and Missouri Ann (Harmon) Kyser (1842-1918).

Our family was driving up from Orlando towards Ohio for a visit and making stops to visit friends along the way. I convinced the wife and kids to let me take this side trip out to Lexington so I could take photos in the cemetery. They don't quite share my interst in this but they waited patiently in the car while I hurried around the cemetery beside the church and took as many photos as I could of every stone that seemed to have a possible connection to family history.
