(Following is from Info Supplied by Verna Rose) "On June 1, 1730, he moved to Herrnhut, Saxony. He came to Savannah, Georgia with his Aunt Regina, wife of Gotthard in 1736. He then moved in 1738 to PA with his Uncle Gotthard Demuth. Gottlieb had come over on ship Simmands on which carried 150 passengers, twenty five being Moravian. On this boat was John Wesley an ordained Anglican priest, who came as a missionary to the Savannah colony. Charles Wesley, the song writer was also on the same boat. He was a believer in Moravian faith. He and his family moved around in Missionary work. [Moravia is now part of Czeckoslovaka] In the latter part of January 1738, 8 Moravian colonist left Savannah and journied to German settlement at Germantown, PA. Gotthard and Gottlieb were in this group. Gottlieb later moved to Bethlehem and help found this town called Bethlehem as they arrived on Christmas Eve."
Gottlieb married Maria Eva Barbara Gutsler, daughter of Heinrich Gutsler and Anna Maria Unknown, in May 1740 in Bethlehem, Northamption Co., PA.40 (Maria Eva Barbara Gutsler was born on 11 Nov 1713 in Husheim Palatinate 40 and died on 20 May 1784 in Schoeneck, Northamption Co., PA 40.)
